We are delighted to report that Fraser Philp passed his PhD viva last week, with only very minor corrections. Prof Jens Bo Nielson from Copenhagen, and Prof Jaap Buurke from Enschede acted as external examiners for the thesis. Fraser's PhD examined the use of the Functional Movement Screen as a measurement tool for quantifying movement capabilities of soccer players, and examined its use along with other factors as a predictor of injury in soccer players. Fraser's work has led to some interesting findings, and we look forward to reading the papers as they appear! Congratulations to Fraser, and his main supervisor Prof Anand Pandyan. Fraser is currently a Teaching Fellow in School of Health and Rehabilitation at Keele.
