Biography

My research focus is on musculoskeletal pain and mental health. I joined Keele in 2007 as a Research Assistant within the Research Institute of Public Policy and Management, where my research focused on Education Policy. I then moved to the Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences in 2008.

My undergraduate degree was in Psychology and my PhD was in Psychiatry.

Research and scholarship

I am involved in a diverse range of research projects. I have primary research interests in long term outcomes for those with musculoskeletal pain, psychological and psychosocial factors related to pain and disability, and risk factors for the onset of musculoskeletal pain in children. Additional projects include research in mental health, particularly dementia, and health at a family level.
