Dr Helliwell came to Keele University and the Arthritis Research UK Primary Care Centre after extending his GP Vocational Training to complete a research project as part of the Masters in Medical Science. This basic research training highlighted a clear gap in our primary care knowledge and is now doing further research in this area.
