Clinical Practice Research Group

CPRG is Chaired by Dr. Julie Green. Groups are planned bi-monthly for the remainder of 2019. There are a range of registered members but, to date, attendance at meetings has been relatively low in response to workload pressures. As a result of a group request, meetings are now being structured around a 10-15 minute presentation of research projects by volunteer members.

Chair: Dr Julie Green

A few members have (or are planning) to apply for research funding. Natalie Ruscoe has been awarded £2000 to explore the impact of the new Minor Injuries module on clinician’s practice comparing skills pre and post-module. Angela Wilkinson is planning to apply for funding for her learning disability self-image ‘game’ and evaluation of this. Angela is currently working up her application form.

There are 33 registered CPRG members of which 6 active members are from clinical practice. This is a real positive and something which we are aiming to encourage.
