School of Nursing and Midwifery achieve the Athena SWAN Bronze Award

We are very pleased to announce that the School of Nursing and Midwifery has achieved the Athena SWAN Bronze Award following an application in November. This award recognises our continued commitment to supporting equality and diversity for staff and students across the school.

The Head of School, Dr Patricia Owen said:

“I am delighted that the School has received the Athena Swan Bronze Award which is down to the hard work of the team including the School Athena Swan champion Dr Alison Pooler and supported by Dr Hannah Barjat. We are dedicated to promoting equality within the school in terms of opportunity for students and staff and this award demonstrates our commitment”

The School continues to focus on implementing the actions it set out, following the self-assessment to assure that an inclusive and supportive environment is further enhanced for all.
