The school of Nursing and Midwifery host a Makaton Signalong Flash Mob Event

The school of Nursing and Midwifery hosted a Makaton Signalong Flash Mob Event on Wednesday 19th June at Keele University’s Union Square to raise awareness for ‘Learning Disability Awareness Week 2019’.

Learning Disability Nursing students were joined by colleagues, Service Users and the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent to signalong to Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’. Louise Cogher, Professional Lead/Lecturer in Learning Disability Nursing said:

‘This is a great event to join in, learn some Makaton and show our commitment to the inclusion of people with learning disabilities, as part of ‘National Learning Disability Awareness Week.’
