A message from the School of Nursing and Midwifery's Head of School

Hello and welcome.
It is great that you are looking at our website and I hope you find it useful and informative.
We have so much to tell you about our School of Nursing and Midwifery and we hope we have
captured some of it on our webpages and the linked social media accounts- we have great staff and
clinical partners, excellent student support, contemporary facilitates and exciting programmes of
study. Nursing and Midwifery are fundamentally about people and we work to ensure that people
(students, staff, clinical partners, service users and carers) are at the centre of our education and
research activities. We pride ourselves on supporting our students in their studies, through a robust
personal tutor system, a team of academics and clinicians who work together and a comprehensive
range of services and activities that will help you to achieve.
We ensure that our programmes are evidence-based and staff in the School work collaboratively to
undertake research which underpins our education.
You will see on our website the range of programmes and courses that we offer and the type of
research we are engaged with but if you have any queries don’t hesitate to give us a call or drop us
an email.
We are delighted with the excellent feedback we receive from our students and our stakeholders
and we look forward to you joining us to progress your career in nursing or midwifery.
