New book on academic writing and publishing

Academic Writing & Publishing: A Practical Handbook is the title of a new book published by Routledge written by James Hartley (Psychology).

In short snappy chapters the book considers the nature of academic writing and how different people tackle the task differently; writing the different components of a research article; writing other types of academic text, such as books, theses, reviews and conference papers; and deals with other aspects of academic writing such as publishing delays, collaboration and procrastination. Professor Hartley hopes that his text will find a place on the shelves of every academic in the university!
