Mixed methods: systematic review; cross-sectional survey; daily diary study; qualitative interviews.
Primary objective
• To describe the nature and frequency of variations in osteoarthritis pain, the possible existence of discrete acute exacerbations, and patient - and knee-level characteristics associated with these
• To explore patient’s experiences of acute flares in knee pain/OA.
