Harvard Forest, part of Harvard University, has extended the Fellowship of Dr Peter Thomas for an unprecedented third year.

The fellowship is specifically given to support his writing, and the renewal coincides with the publication of his fifth book Applied Tree Biology (Wiley-Blackwell) written with Andy Hirons of University Centre Myerscough.  Dr Thomas is a Reader in Plant Ecology at Keele, and has been a fellow of the Harvard forest for the past two years.
