Prizes at the PGR Symposium 2017

Last week's Faculty of Natural Sciences Postgraduate Symposium saw two prizes going to Life Sciences PhD students.

Nana Efua Andoh, PhD student with Dr Srabasti Chakravorty in the Centre for Applied Entomology and Parasitology (CAEP) group, won the best poster and dynamic poster prize for her poster ‘Activation of the Blood Brain Barrier in cerebral malaria’.

Emma Whittle, PhD student with Dr Dan Tonge in the Centre for Science and Technology in Medicine (CSTM) group won the People’s Prize for her 3 minute thesis presentation “Asthma and the Microbiota: A Preliminary Investigation”.
