Life Sciences Staff purchased the trees to be planted in Keele's Memorial Garden in memory of their colleague, who passed away late last year.

The three trees are a Catalpa, a Sunset apple and a Kidds Orange Red apple. In future years, people will be able to wander down to the garden, pick an apple and think of Richard whilst eating it.  A link to Richard's obituary can be found here.

Head of School, Prof Dave Hoole, is looking to plant a similar memorial tree on the campus at USM in Malaysia, in honour of the work Richard did in establishing collaborations between the two universities.
