Dr Peter Thomas, Reader in Plant Ecology, has been appointed as a Fellow of the Harvard Forest, the forest research station of Harvard University, USA.

This follows on from his recent six-month spell at Harvard Forest as a Bullard Fellow, and will allow him to complete a number of writing projects started while in Massachusetts.

Peter's Bullard Fellowship was actually his second, putting him in rare company. Of the 255 Fellows since 1962, he is one of only four people worldwide to have been awarded a second Fellowship, and the only person from the UK to be so recognised.
