Country solicitors founded in Newcastle-under-Lyme in 1767 and now a multi-practice firm, Knight and Sons were solicitors to the Sneyd family of Keele Hall, Staffordshire.

Over the years a large quantity of material has been deposited at Keele, comprising local deeds dating back to the thirteenth century and company ledgers dating from the nineteenth century. This archive is of particular interest to the local historian, as are the Sneyd Family Papers.

The material is on deposit from Knight and Sons, is partially listed, with some restrictions on access for external researchers.
