17th-18th Century Burney Collection Newspapers - Gale Cengage
A digitised collection of newspapers, news-books, pamphlets and ephemera from the 17th and 18th Century. 

19th Century UK Periodicals Online - Gale Cengage
A searchable database of 100 periodical titles published in the UK between 1800-1900. Titles included cover the spectrum of women's writing and chart the rapid rise of children's entertainment and education. Also included is a broad spread of satirical and comic titles.

Archives Unbound
A digitised collection of rare primary source documents, covering a broad range of topics.

British Library Newspapers
A collection of over 65 regional and local newspapers that illuminate diverse and distinct regional attitudes, cultures, and vernaculars, providing an alternative viewpoint to the London-centric national press. Keele's subscription allows access to the part I and II content (coverage 1800-1900). For access, if you are not automatically logged in, please login with your Keele username and password. British Periodicals Collection I & II - ProQuest
An archive that consists of more than 460 periodical runs published from the 1680s to the 1930s.

Davenport Papers
The archive comprises 16 volumes dating from 1745-1797 detailing the trading activities of a Liverpool firm, Messrs. William Davenport & Co., who were involved in the slave trade. You can only access the Davenport Papers from computers on the Keele network.

Early English Books Online (EEBO) - ProQuest
The full text of more than 125,000 books in English from 1473 to 1700.

Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) - Historical Texts
A digital collection of more than 180,000 titles published in Great Britain and its colonies during the Eighteenth century. For access, select 'sign in', then 'login', search for 'Keele University' and log in with your Keele username and password. Historical Texts help page

Contains over 5,500 expertly indexed and fully searchable primary British History documents from 500-1914.

Contains the full-text of hundreds of original medieval history documents. The sources are arranged by subject.

Medieval and Early Modern Sources Online (MEMSO) is an essential resource for the study of Britain and its place in the world during the medieval and early modern period (c. 1100-1800).

The Times Digital Archive, 1785-2013
Search the complete digital edition of The Times from 1785-2011. The entire newspaper is captured with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos.

Bibliography of British and Irish History (BBIH)
The Bibliography of British and Irish History provides bibliographic data on historical writing dealing with the British Isles, and with the British Empire and Commonwealth, during all periods for which written documentation is available - from 55BC to the present. EBSCO
EBSCO contains thousands of full-text journal articles across lots of subject areas. 

eHRAF Archaeology
A collection of in-depth descriptive documents focusing on archaeological traditions from around the world.

eHRAF World Cultures
A collection of subject-indexed, ethnographic collections covering all aspects of cultural and social life, including books, monographs, journal articles, dissertations and manuscripts.

JSTOR
Full-text access to the archive of many important journals, including several key titles for History. JSTOR also provides access to a small collection of ebooks and archive material, including 19th Century British Pamphlets - a collection of more than 20,000 digitised pamphlets.

Oxford Academic Journals
A collection of more than 250 electronic journal titles from Oxford University Press with full-text access from 1996 to the latest issue for all titles.

ProQuest
Includes access to the Humanities Index, a large database for research in the Humanities. The full-text of many journal articles are available through ProQuest.

Sage Journals
A collection of over 600 full-text international peer-reviewed journals titles, dating back to 1999 for most titles.

Taylor & Francis Online
A collection of over 1500 journals from Taylor & Francis Online with full-text access from 1997 onwards for most titles.

The Social History Archive - previously FindMyPast
The Social History Archive subscription provides access to millions of global records. It does not currently include access to the 1921 Census or newspapers. For access, if you are not automatically logged in please log in with your Keele username and password. 

Web of Science - Clarivate
Includes the Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Conference Proceedings, access to Journal Citation Reports and Book Citation Index. For access, if you're not automatically logged in select 'Institutional sign in', search for 'UK Federation' and 'Go to institution'. Search for 'Keele University' and log in with your Keele username and password. Registration for a Web of Science profile may be required the first time you access this resource - please only register using your Keele email address as accounts registered with personal email addresses will be removed. Manchester Hive
Collections covering medieval studies in history, literature, and the history of medicine from prehistory to the present.

Established in the 1950s, the Archives and Special Collections at Keele constitute a valuable tool for teaching and research purposes, both within the University and beyond. Collections span some 1400 linear metres of manuscript, printed and pictorial material. Material relating to the social and industrial history of the Potteries is a particular strength.

A news and business service which includes around 12,000 publications, including worldwide, national and local newspapers.

National gateway to descriptions of archives in U.K. universities and colleges.

Box of Broadcasts (BoB)
Box of Broadcasts (BoB) National is a TV and radio recording service and is freely available to all staff and students at Keele. Record and catch-up on programmes from 60+ TV and radio channels that have been broadcast in the last 30 days. You will need your Keele username and password to sign-in.

British History Online
A digital library containing primary and secondary sources for the medieval and modern history of the British Isles.

British Library EThOS
The British Library ETHOS project provides electronic access to research theses from many UK universities.

Google Scholar
The most famous web search engine can search for academic journals and literature too. In Google Scholar’s settings you can also customise your results to quickly see which of them you have full-text access to through Keele Library. To get this working, before you perform your search click on Settings and type 'keele' into the Library Links search box. Tick the Keele University – view online @Keele box, click on Save Preferences and you're ready to go. When you've typed in your search, any results with ‘view-online@Keele' link next to the title provide a direct link through to the article.

Kanopy
An on-demand streaming video platform for public and academic libraries that offers films, TV shows and documentaries. For access, log in with your Keele username and password. Kanopy help page.

Library Hub Discover
Library Hub Discover replaces Copac and SUNCAT. This catalogue gives you access to details of materials held in many UK national, academic and specialist libraries.

National Archives Discovery Catalogue
Find records from the National Archives and over 2,500 archives across the UK.

Parliament Rolls of Medieval England (PROME)
The rolls of parliament were the official records of the meetings of the English parliament from the reign of Edward I (1272 - 1307) until the reign of Henry VII (1485 - 1509). From the Keele network you can now access the rolls in their entirety.

Reference Management Tools (RefWorks and Cite Them Right)
Access quality reference management tools provided by the Library. RefWorks allows you to save and manage all the references you use for your assignments, whether these are from books, journals, web pages or other sources, and create bibliographies. Cite Them Right helps you to reference correctly in a variety of styles, not just for standard resources such as books and journal articles, but also for resources such as statutes, patents and social networking sites.
