E-Journal Collections

Use the following to find an electronic journal title or paper. You can search for an e-journal by typing in the title in the A-Z, and then use the links to connect to the journal's website; or search each e-journal library (EBSCO, Emerald, etc.) individually.

Emerald Management Xtra
95 full-text management journals.
You will need your Keele login to access Emerald Management Xtra from off-campus.

Sage Journals
A collection of over 600 full-text international peer-reviewed journals titles, dating back to 1999. You will need your Keele username and password for off-campus access to Sage Premier.

Science Direct 
An online database which includes the full-text of around 250 journals of interest to KMS students, with titles on business, management, economics, accounting and finance.

Passport (Global Market Information Database)
Passport provides information on countries, consumers and industries. Country data includes economic indicators and statistics (GDP, average incomes, growth etc.). Use this service to look up reports and statistics on companies, product markets and consumer behaviour. 

New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics
Contains over 1,850 articles by more than 1,500 of the world's leading economists. You can access the Quick Guide here.

Nexis UK
Read the "broadsheet" UK press and some regional newspapers on this website. Business pages are included in the service. More online newspapers and other online services are available from our newspapers page.

ProQuest European Newsstream (previously UK Newsstand)
Provides the searchable full-text of articles published in around 30 UK newspapers including The Times, Telegraph, Guardian and The Independent.
You will need your Keele username and password for off-campus access.

Nexis UK
A news and business service which includes around 12,000 publications, including worldwide, national and local newspapers.

The Times Digital Archive
Search the complete digital edition of The Times from 1785-2006. The entire newspaper is captured with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos.

E-Book Collections

Use the services below to search and read the Library's current collection of e-books. They are also available through Library Search. Select "Electronic Resources" in your search criteria to limit it to e-books.

Dawsonera
An expanding collection of ebooks purchased by the Library which includes some titles relating to business and management.
You will need your Keele login for access.

EBSCO eBook collection
Collection includes titles on management, strategy, marketing, globalisation and many more.

Includes many business related titles, including ones on human resource management, industrial relations, strategy, marketing and business law.

Find A Reference In Business Subjects

There are more journals available in addition to those we have electronically. Reference databases (sometimes also called "citation" or "abstract" databases) can help you find these if you want to search more widely for papers, especially if you're doing a literature review for a dissertation.

The full text will not be available from the citation database, however clicking on the @Keele logo will search our e-journals and provide a link to the whole paper if available, or direct you to where a paper copy may be found in the Library's print journal collection. Our main citation databases are;

ProQuest provides a large number of bibliographic databases, including several major ones, including British Humanities Index, and the International Bibliography of the Social Sciences.

Details of articles, letters, and reviews from more than 2,600 journals and 7,000 books in the fields of economics, political science, sociology, and anthropology. Access with Keele login.

Theses

Use the advanced keyword option on Library Search and set the material type to 'Thesis' to search for Keele theses held in the Library.

ETHOS
The British Library ETHOS project provides electronic access to research theses from many UK universities.

Index to Theses
A searchable listing of theses with abstracts accepted for higher degrees by universities in Great Britain and Ireland since 1716. You can only access the Index to Theses from computers on the Keele network.

NDLTD – Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations
Details of theses and dissertations from universities in the United States and worldwide.

Health And Safety Executive
The body responsible for the regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare, and for research into occupational risks in England, Wales and Scotland.

HeinOnline
Archive of legal articles and other legal materials.
look for the "institutional log-in" or "Shibboleth" links, then select the UK Federation followed by Keele University from a drop-down list to get to the log-in page. When prompted type in your Keele login to access the service.

LaborDoc
Another International Labour Organization site, contains references to a wide range of print and electronic publications.
