Biography

Leanne joined the Language Centre as a full time Teaching Fellow in 2015, having worked as a sessional tutor since 2012. She has taught on a range of in-sessional modules, as well as on the pre-sessional programme. Leanne currently teaches Academic English for Business 1 (AEB1), Academic English for Postgraduates and on the Social Science Foundation Year programme.

Prior to working at Keele, Leanne taught English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at a local FE college from beginners to intermediate level and had tutored students on a one to one basis in general English and Academic writing skills.

Leanne has a BA (Hons) in French and International History and a Certificate in TESOL, both awarded through Keele University. She also has a PGCE (PCET) from Manchester Metropolitan University and is in the process of completing a Masters in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from Salford University.
