Zach Richards is awarded the New Voices in Administrative Justice Prize

Congratulations to Dr Zach Richards who has won the UK Administrative Justice Institute Prize for New Voices in Administrative Justice for a paper presented at the University of Sheffield New Voices in Administrative Justice workshop. This generous award and cash prize was presented in recognition of Dr Richards’ outstanding contribution to a wider understanding of administrative justice. In the paper, Dr Richards innovatively combines two areas of socio-legal scholarship – legal consciousness studies and administrative justice research – to present a new model of the ideal typical legal and justice orientations of public officials. He also presents a critique of the advantages and drawbacks of each way of thinking for producing substantive justice in public administration.
