Dr. Mark Eccleston-Turner attended meetings at the White House and the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

This week Dr. Mark Eccleston-Turner attended meetings at the White House and the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

There he met with Members of the National Security Council  and members of the US Department of Defence to discuss global health security. On the agenda was the ongoing outbreak of Ebola virus disease in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - which Dr. Eccleston-Turner has recently published about in the Lancet and the Conversation. 

Dr. Eccleston-Turner was in Washington D.C. as part of his Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Fellowship at John Hopkins University.
