Keele University - Law Fair 2019
Head of School of Law, Alison Brammer talking about the Keele Law Fair, followed by interviews with exhibitors and students.
On 20 November the Law School held their second Law Fair. The Law Fair was the result of a collaboration between the Law School, Careers and Employability and the student law society. The fair was supported by BPP Law School who provided vital sponsorship to make the event happen. 30 exhibitors travelled to Keele to meet law and non-law students alike.
The fair was opened by the Head of Law School,Professor Alison Brammer and Dr Mark Bacon COO and Director of Research Innovation and Engagement. The exhibitors ranged from global law firms, like Gateley plc and Eversheds Sutherland to the HM Courts and Tribunal service. Eversheds Sutherland gave a talk about their recruitment process and inspired current students with the presence of Associate Solicitor Kimberley Jones who graduated from Keele in 2013.
Legal vlogger and solicitor of the year Chrissie Wolfe talked about legal tech to a packed room. A professional photographer was available to help staff and students obtain a good profile photo which proved very popular.
The event was a huge success and again demonstrated the Keele difference with exhibitors describing it as one of their ‘favourite law fairs’ and our students as ‘very engaged’ and ‘well dressed’ as well as having some ‘great innovative questions’. 100% of the attendees said in feedback that the event was ‘excellent ‘or ‘good’ with all wishing to return.
