Student Teachers: A Hybrid Model of Outreach and Alternative Assessment
Project leaders: Kristen Brill with Neil Archer
This project will engage level 6 Keele students to teach seminars to Year 10 students in the local area. The aims of this project are twofold. First, these sessions will serve as outreach sessions for students from the lowest POLAR areas in Stoke. Not only will these students learn new material, they will be introduced to university study in a new way. Second, this will offer a pilot programme to enhance and diversify Keele assessment methods. Moving forward, our hope is that other Keele schools will implement this model as a new and innovative assessment format in their curricula.
