Teaching Innovation Projects Scheme (TIPS)
The Teaching Innovation Projects Scheme offers colleagues the opportunity to gain funding to develop and evaluate their learning and teaching innovations.
This is the 21st year that TIPS has offered the opportunity for colleagues to gain funding to develop and evaluate their learning and teaching innovations.
Funding of up to a maximum of £5,000 is available. Projects can address any area of learning, teaching or assessment, but 50% of the fund will be ring fenced for those projects that are explicitly aligned towards the Keele Access and Participation Plan. Project proposers are encouraged to consider how their projects will ensure equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed and progress.
It is envisaged that projects will start and finish within the academic year 2021-22. Applicants may request to complete their project in two years with an interim report delivered at the end of the first year.
All projects must have the approval of the Head of School or equivalent line manager. The Project Application Form must therefore be accompanied by a signed Statement of Support from the Head of School or equivalent. A template for this is provided below. Applications are also encouraged from staff-student collaborations.
The closing date for applications is Midnight Friday 16 April 2020.
Full details of the Scheme and the application process (2020-21) can be found on the three documents available to download below.
KIITE will be offering Project Support Meetings in January and February, bookable via Keele People. These will be an opportunity to discuss your proposals with information on the application and assessment process.
