I have worked as a learning technologist and software developer at Keele since 2010, and prior to that I worked on research projects focused on communication and mobile learning applications. Before starting my current role in KIITE in 2021, I was Learning Technology Manager in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, leading on the introduction of a range of innovative systems and practices for teaching, assessment, and student portfolios. My particular interests are around how technology can help us escape traditional learning environments, delivering flexible experiences to meet the needs of students, and finding new ways to help people engage with education. I have a PhD in educational technology, hold Senior Fellowship of the HEA, and I am currently completing my MBA Senior Leader apprenticeship.
