"Ou est l'amitie est la patrie" (Voltaire). Political differences and cultural changes shaped my family and, while growing up in bilingual settings, my education was both academic and cultural with parents welcoming a domestic form of "Erasmus" arrangements during holidays. Spurred by ancestry and fondness of cultural identities, the first academic steps were in History with a specialism in cultural Heritage preservation. My professional path led to explore a more European perspective and landed a postgraduation in Library & Information Management in the wintry city of Manchester. Fast forward and building a life in the UK I achieved the accolade of "Indefinite Leave to Remain" status. During the last 20 years of working at UK universities I wiggled my career between academic support to customer service roles. Working for Keele University since 2019 I am combining a role with Library Services and, a part-time role as Project Administrator to the Student Led Knowledge Exchange Project.
