Katie is currently Dean of Education in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and a Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography (Education & Scholarship). She has over 14 years of experience of teaching, learning, assessment, and evaluation in Higher Education. Katie has extensive experience of work to enhance equality, diversity and inclusivity (EDI), with more than eight years’ experience as a panelist and chair (since 2015) of the national Athena SWAN assessment panels. In 2016 Katie designed and developed Keele's interdisciplinary BSc and MSci Natural Sciences degree programme and is now an active member of the Society for Natural Sciences Pedagogic Research and Scholarship group. Katie holds a fellowship with KIITE as an Access and Participation Plan (APP) Fellow, with a University-wide a remit to enhance the access, progression and success of students from different groups as part of Keele’s Access and Participation Plan.
