From transmission to transformation: maximising student engagement with feedback

THiNK Seminar

The Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence is pleased to announce details of the next THiNK seminar:

27 March 2019 | 1.00pm - 2.00pm

‘From transmission to transformation: maximising student engagement with feedback’ with Dr Naomi Winstone.

Dr Winstone is a cognitive psychologist specialising in learning behaviour and engagement with education and is currently the Head of the Department of Higher Education at the University of Surrey. She has recently completed a programme of research which focused on how students receive, process and implement feedback on their work.

The seminar will explore the importance and impact of students engaging with such feedback. Dr Winstone will be sharing the details of a toolkit that has been developed in partnership with students to support the development of feedback ‘recipience skills’ and how the responsibility for ensuring the high impact of feedback can, and should, be shared between educators and students.
