The Learning and Teaching Conference (now known as the Student Education Conference) invites colleagues to share best practice and showcase innovative approaches to student education at Keele.

On Tuesday 16th January 2018, the Keele Learning and Teaching Conference was hosted in collaboration with the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), Professor Helen O’Sullivan.

The conference had no theme and thereby offered all members of the University the opportunity to exchange ideas and share innovative and inspirational practice. The format of the conference was short (15 minute) presentations with time allowed for questions and discussion as well. This year, in addition to the presentations, attendees brought along and shared exciting resources from their own practice.

All members of staff and students with an interest in learning and teaching were warmly invited to attend.

As a complementary event to the Annual Teaching Symposium, in collaboration with the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) Prof. Fiona Cownie, the Learning and Teaching Conference 2017 was hosted. 

The conference took place on Tuesday 17th January 2017 with all members of staff, and students with an interest in learning and teaching warmly invited to attend.

The conference had no theme and thereby offered all members of the University the opportunity to exchange ideas and share innovative and inspirational practice. The format of the conference was short (15 minute) presentations with time allowed for questions and discussion as well.

This event, was complementary to the Annual Teaching Symposium and in collaboration with Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) Professor Fiona Cownie and the Journal of Academic Development and Education (JADE).

The conference had no theme, offering all staff the opportunity to exchange ideas and to share innovative innovative and inspirational practice and to present their learning and teaching research to a broad audience in a collegiate and stimulating environment.  

Delegates commented how much they enjoyed the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the networking opportunity. Particular praise was given in relation to the format of the event and the variety of presentations on offer. Delegates were also very pleased to see different colleagues from different areas of the University working together.
