Preparatory Courses

Before you start your undergraduate or postgraduate studies at Keele, you may need to attend one of our preparatory courses, according to the English language and/or academic requirements of your course and your educational background.


Foundation Year Centre Courses

For students who wish to progress to Year One of a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject* at Keele

with a minimum of 5.0 at IELTS - UKVI SELT (including 5.0 in all sub-tests) and having completed 12 years of high school education (e.g. not A level or International Baccalaureate).

International Year One

For international students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for Undergraduate study. The International Year One is a programme of academic subjects, study skills and English language training that is equivalent to the first year of a Bachelor's degree.
