The Accounting and Accountability Research Group at KMS is a progressive and active research group with full-time academic members engaged in a wide range of accounting research issues. The members of the group publish regularly in top ranked academic journals. The group has a growing number of research students both at Masters and PhD levels.
The group is led by Professor Istemi Demirag who has research interests in Corporate Governance and Accountability in the Public Sector particularly in Public Private Partnership projects. Other areas of active research include Corporate Social Responsibility and Governance, Narrative Reporting, Dividend Policy, Auditing and International Accounting.
The group holds regular internal and external speakers programme and PhD students and all academic staff at the University are invited to participate in these seminars.
