PhD Funding Opportunities in the Humanities and Social Sciences
Keele has a strong and vibrant Postgraduate Research community of over 300 full and part time students in a broad range of Humanities and Social Science disciplines. We are members of the the AHRC Northwest Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership and the ESRC Northwest Social Sciences Doctoral Training Partnership. In addition to offering competitive, fully-funded studentships from the UK Research Councils, our membership gives all our students access to shared training events across the partner institutions.
Keele also funds its own studentships. If you are interested, please select a link below, and see our Frequently Asked Questions if you have any queries.

ESRC Collaborative CASE studentships
Applications for CASE studentship are led by academic members of staff in collaboration with one or more non-academic partner. If an application is successful, then a student will be recruited for that specific project. For Keele staff, further details of the internal process can be found here ESRC CASE Studentships 2017/18.
