Postgraduate study

Keele’s MPhil and PhD by research degrees in Music and Music Technology are available to those wishing to pursue research at the highest level in the areas of composition (whether acoustic or electroacoustic); musicology (whether historical, critical or analytical); music technology (composition and software development); and performance. Funding for UK students may be possible through the Arts and Humanities Research Council. In all instances, we encourage applicants to discuss potential funding with us at the earliest opportunity.
