Film Studies is an exciting, diverse and creative area of academic study. Doing Film at Keele offers you the chance to focus intensively on the history and theory of the medium, or to study it alongside Creative Writing as an integrated single honours programme.

You can also combine the study of Film with other related subjects, such as Media, English and American Studies, and will have the opportunity to apply your theory of film in the form of practical work. As a Film student at Keele, then, you will learn to employ theoretical, historical and cultural strands of enquiry to analyse both classical and contemporary cinema, as well as making creative connections between Film and other art forms.
