In the spring of 2013, we selected Midland HR as the supplier for our new HR/Payroll system – Keele People.

Midland HR has experience of providing systems to many customers within the Higher Education sector and their specialist HE team will work in partnership with the University throughout implementation and beyond.

The first phase of Keele People went live on 1 April 2015 and has transformed the way our HR and payroll processes work. Greater functionality, automated processes and reduced paper flows are some of the benefits. A new user friendly self-service will allows us to work with colleagues in a more interactive way. HR and payroll information is now more accessible and we’re sure that colleagues will quickly see the benefits of the new system.

All staff are now able to:

  • View payslips online
  • View and amend personal details
  • View key employment information
  • Request annual leave online

Further enhancements to come soon include the ability for staff to view their training records and book onto workshops delivered by the Learning and Professional Development Centre.

The log in to Keele People is via the staff portal. Once logged in, click on “The Office” in the right hand corner and then the “Keele People” tab. Keele People also be accessed from the url https://people.keele.ac.uk and clicking on the “Employee Self Service” option.
