Research and scholarship

Now in my sixth year at Keele University, I am presently undertaking an AHRC funded PhD after previously completing a Dual Honours BA in History and English and an MRes in History. My research focus in the past has been on Latin American dictatorships, with emphasis on totalitarian rule in Chile, El Salvador, and Guatemala. My current research is on the developing cultural landscapes of 1920’s Boston, Massachusetts, with particular emphasis on the city’s jazz scene, its African-American elites, and racialists.
