Biography

I qualified from The University of Birmingham in 2003. I undertook my junior rotations in multiple specialities in the NHS for 2 years then moved into private practice to pursue my love for Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. I completed my MSc in Manual Therapy at Coventry University in 2012 following my passion and interest in the hands on treatment used in Physiotherapy. During my time in clinical practice I specialised in treatment of spinal and shoulder conditions. I gained expertise in manual and manipulative therapy, sports, occupational health and rehabilitation post surgery. I managed a diverse team of therapists in private practice and helped to grow the practice during my treasured 9 years there.

I joined the School of Health and Rehabilitation full time in September 2014 as a Teaching Fellow in Physiotherapy. I achieved my PG certificate in Teaching and Learning in September 2015 and am currently pursuing my MA in Teaching and Learning due for completion in summer 2018. I took on the role as Programme Lead for the Undergraduate BSc Hons Physiotherapy course in June 2016.
