Qualifying with a diploma in Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallamshire, I worked for 20 years in several trusts in Staffordshire in a variety of NHS roles, including 8 years as Physiotherapy Respiratory Clinical Specialist . I completed my MSc in Health Practice at Salford University in 1995 and developed a keen interest in educating tomorrows physiotherapists. I joined Keele University in 2004 as a part time lecturer, and both lead and teach on undergraduate and post graduate modules. My specialist areas are acute respiratory deterioration and critical care. My current roles include chair of a university ethics panel and faculty lead for inter-professional education in year 3.
