Entitled “It hurts, should I move or rest? – Physiotherapy in Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR)” Anne O’Brien, Senior Lecturer in the School of Health and Rehabilitation and NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellow in iPCHS, was a recent invited speaker promoting the benefits and importance of keeping moving in older age at the PMRGCAuk annual members meeting. Attendees, all UK members of the charity, participated in the practical exercises with good humour.

A rheumatic condition commonly affecting senior citizens, attendees with PMR or Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) reported ongoing interest in the Keele PMR/GCA research programmes led by Prof. Christian Mallen in the Institute of Primary Care and Health Sciences.
