Keele University's Sustainability Research Network

Sustainability is one of the university’s three key research themes, alongside ageing and health. KUSRN has been set up to raise the profile of sustainability research and to contribute to the growing strength of research in this area at Keele University. The network is interdisciplinary and not aligned to any one faculty or school - everyone is welcome to join!

The aims of KUSRN are to:

  • connect sustainability researchers across the university and provide peer support between researchers;
  • collate and disseminate information about sustainability research at Keele;
  • provide a cross-faculty sustainability research seminar series; and
  • implement a mailing list which is available for all members to send information and updates to other members.

After three successful seminar series, KUSRN is now on its fourth series with speakers from diverse disciplines, including Media, Communications, and Culture, Chemistry, Politics, Geography, Environment and Sustainability, and Psychology. In the past we have also have speakers from History, Botanical and Environmental Science, Ecology, Sociology, and Management.

If you would like to be kept up to date with KUSRN events and be made aware of different sustainability research activities at Keele, please sign up to the KUSRN mailing list or find KUSRN on Facebook.

Please also join us at one of our weekly seminars on Wednesdays from 1-2pm in the Chancellors Building in CBA1.098.

Seminars will restart on 11th October - download the KUSRN Autumn Seminar Timetable 2017 for full details of upcoming talks. If you are interested in delivering a seminar in Semester 2, please contact the Sustainability Project Officer for more information and availability.
