I am a Teaching Fellow in Academic Development for the Foundation Year Centre and sessional tutor for the School of Social Science and Public Policy. I joined Keele as an undergraduate in 2005, after completing an Access to HE Certificate. Upon successful completion of my BSc in Psychology and Education, I secured an ESRC quota award to continue onto postgraduate study and completed my MRes in Social Science Research Methods and PhD in the Sociology of Education. I started teaching within SSPP in 2011 and joined the Foundation Year Centre in 2015.

My research interests are;

  • Social Justice and Inequalities
  • Educational Inequalities and Identities –gender and class
  • Youth and Childhood Policy
  • Higher Education and Student Identity

Within the Foundation Year Centre I am a personal tutor and sit on the ethics committee. Teaching involvement in current modules:
