Originally from Durham, I have had a lifetime of being involved in teaching teenagers and young adults. Before joining Keele University in 2009 I had been Head of Religious Studies for 20 years in a local Catholic College. Socrates is quoted as saying, “the unexamined life is not worth living.”  This has been instrumental in my keen interest in Philosophy and Ethics and developing and delivering A- level courses for over 30 years. Since joining the university as a part-time teaching fellow I have delivered the FY00058 and FY00059 modules on Introducing Philosophy and Ethics as well as the Academic Development module FY0 0108. I have enjoyed being personal tutor to many students enabling and helping them to benefit fully from their Foundation Year experience at Keele University.
