I was appointed for two years as a sessional lecturer in Forensic Science at Keele in 2015 before taking on the role of Teaching Fellow (chemistry) and personal tutor within the Foundation Year Centre in 2016. Prior to this, I completed my PhD (2016) in analytical chemistry, which focused on the monitoring of neonicotinoid pesticides in various honeybee matrices using Q-TOF LC/MS and GC-MS.   Alongside my PhD and teaching I have maintained a keen interest in the applications of geophysics as a military and forensic search tool; as such I have worked on various outreach and research projects as well as ‘cold’ and ‘active’ police searches.  I am also currently working towards an MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
