Dr Craig Adam, from the School of Physical and Geographical Sciences, has been appointed by the Forensic Science Society as an academic assessor both for its accreditation scheme for university degree courses and for the continuing professional development (CPD) courses it accredits for forensic practitioners.

The Society has currently over thirty accredited institutions across the UK and Ireland as well as some on the European mainland, and this list is expected to continue to expand over the next few years.

It has also recently been awarded royal chartered status and will shortly be re-launched as the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences.
