Fairtrade at Keele

Keele University has been a Fairtrade University since 2008. This status has been awarded by the Fairtrade Foundation as an accolade to our continued commitment to raising awareness of Fairtrade and ensuring that a wide range of Fairtrade products are utilised, sold and promoted across campus. This positive work can only be built upon through ongoing support by students, staff, and the wider public.

Susan Warrender, head of catering and retail at Keele, said: "We recognise our role within the wider world in bringing about fairness in terms of prices, working conditions, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in developing countries. The use and promotion of Fairtrade products is a simple but effective way for us to help achieve this."
