Disabled staff forum

Following consultation in September 2017, a staff disabilities group has been set up in order to provide a forum for discussion of issues that are of relevance to staff. The majority of those who expressed an interest did not want to be involved in meetings, as many did not want to share personal information. Hence, the group primarily operates through a confidential mailing list.

A staff disabilities network has been established to provide a confidential space for discussion of issues that are of relevance to staff. This group provides the option to operate through both a forum space and an anonymous mailing list. 

The network exists to help improve equality, diversity and inclusion for people with disabilities. 

The forum and email list is used to:

  • consult staff on relevant issues, such as commitments made to Disability Confident
  • provide an opportunity for staff to feedback suggestions for improvements
  • disseminate relevant information
  • provide peer group support where staff are willing to share experiences.

Membership of the network and mailing list remains confidential.
