Mining the Marl Pit - Charles Tomlinson's Stoke Poems

Dr Catherine Burgass, expert in local literary heritage, explores the Stoke poems of Charles Tomlinson, originally recorded at Keele in 1985. She will discuss Tomlinson’s life and work, tracing his trajectory away from North Staffordshire and considering the Stoke poems in terms of alienation and reconciliation.

Tickets: £5 for Members; £10 for Guests. Light refreshments provided.
