All applications are considered against degree entry criteria.  We make no presumptions about a disability and how it may affect you in relation to your chosen course and your application is considered on an individual basis.  Your academic merit, potential and abilities are considered first and foremost.

It is helpful if you let us know at the application stage if you have a disability so that we can support you in the best way possible.  Disability Support & Inclusion aim to contact all students who declare a disability on their application form.  We will provide you with information about our services and what you should do to access the support available to you.  

We recommend that you visit the campus, especially if physical access may be an issue for you. We work hard to address any accessibility issues but some things are beyond our control.  As a campus University, our facilities are relatively close together and easy to get to, though the campus is hilly in places.

It is important that the University and the course you choose to study are both right for you and you know what support is available.  Our team are available to meet with you at our Open Days and Offer Holder Days, so do come along, say hello and ask any questions you may have.

Open and Offer Holder days

We hold a number of open days and offer holder days each year which give prospective students the opportunity to visit the campus and learn more about Keele and University life in general.  On these days, you can visit your academic school, go on a guided tour of the campus, and see inside student accommodation.  Staff from Admissions, Disability Support & Inclusion (DSI) and Student Ambassadors are on hand to answer your questions.

Each year in September, we run our Connect@Keele event to support your transition to higher education and to help you to get familiar with the campus before the term begins.  Please get in touch if you would like more information about this event.
