International alumni are essential to the fulfilment of Keele’s strategic aims to increase diversity at our campus, to enhance the global nature of the Keele experience for staff and students, to extend opportunities for the Distinctive Keele Curriculum and to present Keele as a University with a global presence and reputation.

Keele alumni are eager to engage with one another and with the University, and many choose to be part of the Keele worldwide community through our “Keele in the World" networks. The first active Keele in the World networks were launched in 2012 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Year of the Royal Charter.  Each network has or will have one or more alumni ambassadors who connect with fellow alumni to spread the word and create opportunities for alumni to be engaged, involved, asked and inspired.

Our students come from at least 159 different countries and we are in contact with alumni in 139 countries.

Keele in the World Keele in the World Ambassadors

Each “Keele in” network has one or more ambassadors - these are all Keele alumni invited to communicate with and energise their network. Ambassadors are encouraged to connect with fellow alumni and to help them become more involved and inspired.

Contact your Keele in the World Ambassador by e-mail here. Note: We are not permitted give alumni ambassadors the personal contact details of alumni so your privacy is secure - messages will come to AlumniHQ and forwarded to ambassadors for them respond directly.

The best way to communicate and to get together with alumni in your country is to through Keele Connect - Keele's online networking and mentoring platform.  Keele Connect is completely free for alumni to join and allows you to make contact with fellow Keelites from across the world.  Visit www.keeleconnect.org today and start networking with alumni near and far!

You can also join your local chapter's social network groups listed below. LinkedIn tends to be more useful for business-related networking and Facebook is more appropriate for social networking - please join both and bring your Keele in the World network to life!

Alumni and friends who are taxpayers in the USA can support Keele University through BSUF (British Schools and Universities Foundation), a 501(c)(3) charitable organisation that is recognised by the United States Internal Revenue Service.

BSUF is a tax-exempt foundation so you can claim a 100% charitable deduction on your gift for US income tax purposes. Please express a preference for support of Keele University when asked.

You can donate online by credit card or send a check. Please fill in the Keele in the USA donation form and send it along with the check to:

British Schools and Universities Foundation, Inc.
575 Madison Avenue
Suite 1006
New York, NY
10022-2511

Checks should be made payable to British Schools and Universities Foundation, Inc. (or BSUF) and postmarked on or before 31 December to qualify for current-year tax deduction.

Our Keele University Alumni Team, supported by our volunteer-led alumni association 'Keele in the USA' work with alumni and friends in North America who would like to give to support our students, research and initiatives. Please contact the Alumni Team to discuss the impact you would like your giving to have at Keele University.

What is the BSUF?

BSUF is a non-profit, tax-exempt foundation with no full-time staff or office overheads, managed by volunteers who serve without compensation of any kind. Its operating expenses and scholarship awards are supported by income from investment of its own funds, by member dues and by contributions from friends.

Grants are paid in Sterling, at 100% of the amounts contributed by donors, who then qualify for U.S. tax deductions. There are no fees or other charges. If the donor expresses a preference for an institution supported by BSUF, it notifies that institution of the donation amount and the donor's contact information by email, the same day BSUF receives the donation. Please state your preference for the ‘Keele University' when asked.

Our plans

We are planning more Keele in the World networks in the future. To contact your Keele in the World Ambassador direct please contact Alumni HQ. Of course, these are just the officially recognised Keele in the World networks - there are many unofficial and informal Keele alumni groups worldwide.
