Aims
The module aims to enhance the students¿ knowledge, understanding and analytical skills in the importance of social workers understanding and applying law in the context of contemporary social work and safeguarding children and adults. Students will also understand the court structure and plan a court visit.

Active learning hoursIn situ:Lectures/Workshops - 30 hoursCourt visit - 6 hours Assessment preparation (with staff) - 3 hours Remote, asynchronous: Engagement with specified resources: 11hoursSelf directed study (remote, asynchronous): 100 hours (including 40 hours preparing for the assessment, 40 hours preparing for workshops and 20 hours of wider reading and research)
