This module aims to develop students’ understanding of the structural organisation of the human body, focusing on the anatomy, physiology, and basic pathological processes of the appendicular skeletal system, together with the effects of radiation on the human body.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Describe the biological science principles that underpin the structure and function of the human body, including basic anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to diagnostic radiography practice.: 1Describe the structure and function of the appendicular skeleton and associated joints, including relevant anatomical and physiological principles.: 1Identify and accurately label key anatomical landmarks and radiographic features of the appendicular skeleton on diagrams and plain radiographic images, using appropriate anatomical and radiographic terminology.: 1Recognise and describe basic radiographic signs of fractures within the appendicular skeleton on plain radiographic images.: 1

Description of Module Assessment
1: Exam weighted 100%Insitu Online examination lasting 75 minutes.Online 75 minute KLE exam taken insitu.
Students will be required to come onto campus to take the online examination on the KLE.
The examination will be a combination of question types including but not limited to:
MCQs, matching pairs, labeling, selection of statements, filling in blanks, hotspot questions and short answers, which will address the ILOs.
There will be sufficient questions for the duration of the exam.
