Aims
This module aims to build on underpinning theory, knowledge and skills to enable the student to begin to clinically reason and manage patients effectively with common neurological conditions.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Analyse underpinning knowledge to explain the pathophysiology and clinical features of common neurological conditions.: 1Identify and demonstrate safe and effective generic and physiotherapeutic assessment, treatment and handling skills for neurological patients.: 1Identify and implement appropriate physiotherapeutic intervention and management based on analysis of assessment findings.: 1Identify and analyse the therapeutic effects of physiotherapy treatment for neurological conditions through clinical reasoning.: 1Propose a treatment plan to facilitate patient function, activity and participation.: 1

Description of Module Assessment
1: Practical Exam weighted 100%30 minute interactive practical assessmentThirty minute practical examination (to include 6 minutes preparation) based on formative development of case scenarios within the module. The examination will include an interactive practical demonstration of an element/s of the assessment/treatment strategy already discussed in the oral component.
